At Excellence English Academy, we follow a structured CBSE-based examination system to ensure a balanced and continuous evaluation of students. Our academic year is divided into four terms, including Formative and Summative Assessments to assess student progress. These assessments help in understanding concepts, improving skills, and tracking overall development. Our goal is to provide a strong academic foundation, encouraging students to perform their best in every stage of learning.
Formative Assessments are conducted to evaluate students’ understanding through various activities, projects, and class participation. These assessments help in continuous learning and improvement.
• FA 01 – Conducted in Term 1 (Focus on Unit Tests, Class Assignments, Practical Work)
• FA 02 – Conducted in Term 2 (Includes Subject Enrichment Activities, Oral Tests, and Assignments)
Summative Assessments are formal examinations that test overall subject knowledge at the end of each term.
• SA 01 – Conducted at the end of Term 1 (Half-Yearly Examination)
• SA 02 – Conducted at the end of Term 2 (Final Examination)
The final academic result is determined by a comprehensive evaluation of:
Performance in all four term exams (FA01, FA02, SA01, SA02)
Notebook Submission (Neatness, Regularity, Completion of Work)
Discipline (Attendance, Behavior, Participation in School Activities)
Overall Output & Performance Improvement
This holistic assessment approach ensures that students are evaluated not just based on their written exams but also on their daily learning, conduct, and skill development.
